Blackman Murray Russo Latest Update on Alan Blackman's "The Coastal Suite," made possible through a generous grant from Chamber Music America & The Doris Duke Foundation. We performed the suite live at IBeam in Brooklyn with saxophonist Donny McCaslin and percussionist Rogerio Boccato. It was recorded by NPR for a future broadcast on Dee Dee Bridgewater's "Jazz Set." The following day we spent in the studio tracking for the upcoming CD version of the suite. The rough mix sounds great, and a late summer release is planned - details will be posted here as they develop! |

MARS 4-TET! Max has joined forces with saxophonist Jeff Antoniuk, drummer Frank Russo and guitarist Donato Soviero. This band is a blast!
